Emile Ryjoch

WHO AM I? is concert series that I came up with towards the end of 2022. I noticed that almost all gigs I did with singers were in corporate settings (weddings, functions etc.). As much as I enjoy that kind of work (and I truly do!), I was disappointed that I only get to hear them doing covers of other people’s songs. So the idea was born: book gigs with my favourite singers and collaborate to create a highly personalised and representative show of their “thing”. Here is the blurb I wrote for the promotional material:

"WHO AM ?" is an exciting new concert series founded by Emile Ryjoch with the aim to celebrate vocalists. Each month, the featured guest and Emile will present two sets of music that is representative of who that singer is at present or throughout their life. No rules for genre or band configuration, merely an opportunity to express oneself with a room of attentive listeners.

At the time of writing this (22 June 2023), we have done three shows and are two weeks out from Volume 04, which will feature my amazingly talented friend Brenton Foster.
